Perched on a hill, Volnay occupies a narrow and steeply sloping site. The hull itself is oriented slightly differently than the general course of the land, so the vineyard faces more south-east than est. These vineyards have been valued and exploited for centuries. The typicality of this red Pinot Noir wine was established in the 18th Century. It obtained the status of a controlled appellation en 1937.

Product detailed description

Volnay is made with the Burgundian tradition in mind, but with modern oenological techniques in mind. Aged in 30% new old barrels for 18 months. During the winemaking process, the red wines are chilled to 12°C to increase the extraction of colour and aroma.

Taste: Volany has always been appreciated for tis finesse, body and bouquet. Considered the most feminine wine produced in Burgundy.

Best served on lightly cooked food, with cheeses between 14° and 16°

Keep the 2006 to 2025 vintage. The wine is ideal for drinking now
