The Masach family has been making cavas since 1880, making them one of the pioneers of cava production in Spain. The secret of producing exceptional quality lies primarily in the cultivation of the grapes. In addition to 45 hectares of family vineyards, the Masachs also have long-term contracts to buy grapes from neighbouring farmers. The winemakers, under the leadership of Alex Ruiz Masachs, guide the farmers to produce the best quality. Josep Masachs has had a strong relationship with the farmers for many years and understands that quality does not equal quantity.
