As the first of the range from the vineyard, Château Montaud rosé is created from grapes that are carefully selected from the best plots. Available in magnum - 75 cl, 50 cl and 37.5 cl
TERROIR
The soil is mainly shale and sandstone. The Permian soils in the vineyard are poor and the vines need to take deep roots. This is what then allows them to benefit from all the characteristics of the area. The grapes grow abundantly under the Mediterranean sun, giving them their full flavour.
VEGETABLES
Grenache : 50%, Syrah : 5%, Tibouren : 5%, Cinsault : 40%
SERVING TIPS
The ideal serving temperature is 10° to 13°C
TASTING NOTES
Temperamental and fleshy. Slightly acidic with hints of citrus and cherry. Thanks to our soil, which is predominantly slate, the palate is direct on the finish with a hint of minerality.
SNOOTING
As an aperitif with some vegetables and Provençal creams, or with sausages and meat pies. Perfect with seafood, Mediterranean, exotic or Japanese dishes.
